I like the combination of shooting action and exploration. Gameplay is simple but varied, and getting in a full hit feels very satisfactory. Arm-swing locomotion works great and the customization options are useful. As I am against all sorts of head aiming, I really appreciate the possibility to use the direction of the controllers to guide locomotion.I am struggling a bit on level 14, where there is a bit of a framerate issue. Also, the difficulty in the arena is extremely high, so it would be great if there was a save point before the arena.. It will run on WMR (I'm using the odyssey) and you can get past the tutorial, unfortunately soon after that you'll come across some bad design. I was tolerating the poorly spread apart checkpoints up until there was a reactor that needed a lot of bullets to explode so you could progress to the next area. I got past it fine the first time, then died to the first time encountering some flying flanker bots. At this point it threw me way back to well before the reactor so I plowed through that uninteresting series of rooms w/ the same bots that mostly stand still and shoot at you, still had eight bullets for the reactor -- not enough. So I was stuck, couldn't use my swords on it, couldn't get ammo. If the devs were still working on it I'd consider holding onto it but clearly they've gone MIA.. A really fun VR experince and game! Run around a robot factory killing deadly robots as well as robo spiders and drones. given objectives, and huge levels to explore. at one point, had to duck and crawl in some vents, had to make sure not to stand or your head would be cut off by the fan blads above. accidentally stood up a tiny bit to adjust myself and that was not a good idea. had to climb a ladder, when you climb you use the grip buttons to grab each bar, so i had to holster my gun before climbing. as i holstered and began my climb, already tired at this point from playing for an hour, i went to reach for my gun to shoot the enemies that waiting for me up top, only to realize i missed holstering my gun and actually dropped it at the bottom of the ladder! had to jump back down, then tried climbing with one hand to no success (got half way up before i fell, only using one hand to throw myself up and grab another bar). this game is very fun and can get challenging at certain points. (using monkey bars to pass over an electrified floor all the while getting shot at by enemies as an example)worth it!. It's pretty fun. Not a lot of guidance, so you have to figure a lot of the controls out (point your gun down to reload, you have swords on your back you can grab). I haven't gotten motion sick in VR for awhile though, but this game made me sick after about 30 minutes of playing.. 2 Minute Video Review → https://youtu.be/wLfsy9ldWrQVindicta is a linear run and gun shooter, with a little bit of item hunting.Make your way through levels shooting a variety of robots while avoiding their fire. You start with simple pistols but will find more powerful guns as you go. You also have swords that you can always summon from behind your back. There’s the occasional mini goal like shooting down a reactor or finding a key, but it’s all really straighforward and easy to find. The default movement system is arm swinging, which added a lot of engagement for me and made it feel more exciting. But there’s sliding movement as well. For my fellow arachnophobes: There are mechanical spiders both large and small. But robot spiders don’t bother me for some reason, so I was able to keep playing. The simple action and overall feel reminded me of the old Quake games. And the cheesy macho voice from your character reminded me of Duke Nukem. It took me 30 minutes to beat the first level, out of 5 levels total. So there is significant gameplay here.I bought this for $1.50 during the summer sale. But the regular price is $15. If you go into this knowing that the gameplay is just simple frantic action, then I think you can have a good time. But don’t expect anything deep or mind blowing.. Sci-fi Shooter Goodness. This is a good graphical challenging sci-fi VR shooter with a slight story to it. The first levels are not too challenging but as you progress it gets harder. You can redo the levels to get a better score on the leaderboards if that is your taste. This game has more than one form of locomotion to choose from. Arm-swing is the highlight form of movement and it is implemented very well. The guns are fairly easy to use and auto reload is synonymous with an arcade type game which this is even though it is free roaming and has various levels. The devs recently added melee weapons to the game. Perfect for those who like getting more of a workout although I am not sure it is practical in this kind of game. Just my opinion. The sound effects are satisfying and the interaction in the game adds to the immersion of being there and having a purpose. As I said the game starts slow to help you get used to the game play but paces up as you venture through each level. My main gripes with the game is that the way some levels are set up it is difficult to form a strategy because of enemy locations. Shooting far away the guns can be in-accurate. And some enemies damage was way too high in my opinion. These are not anti-fun issues though. They can be worked around but I am sure the developer will work on tweaking the game some more. This is worth a buy if you like exploration, large levels, and shooters in VR. My rating is a 7/10. I played this game in one of my game medley sessions. It is a live re-run and unedited so Vidicta is the second video in the trio. Fast forward to it. The video below the first is more recent and has 4k resolution and it is only Vindictus game play. Thanks and enjoy.Live Re-Runhttps://youtu.be/MShusL6ScMU4khttps://youtu.be/e15M7bCXN70GPU: GeForce GTX 1070CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHzMemory: 16 GB RAM (15.94 GB RAM usable)Current resolution: 3840 x 2160, 60HzOperating system: Microsoft Windows 10 HomeHTC VIVE. Super Fun Game! The moving locomotion is a nice change from tradtional VR games where all you can do is teleport. I like having free range of motion, it makes me feel like im actually moving instead of just jumping from place to place. The campaign style for this game really sets it apart from all the other VR shooters out there. Wave based VR Shooters are fun but after a while it gets too repeative and becomes boring. I give this game a 10/10 for creativity and not just sticking to what everyone else is doing for VR shooters. I'm excited to see what the devlopers of this game come out with next.. Vindicta is a great VR Shooter game with a nice long campaignThere are a lot of enemies to shoot, flying drones are a real pain in the *ss not to forget about :DA good tip is to take cover at most gunfightshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4-ldOupJDg
